The α9 captured Malaysian culture

The other day Sony Malaysia hosted the 5th Super Workshop in Kota Bahru, Kelantan, a place in the northern peninsula Malaysia that is rich in culture. It was a 2-day-2-night trip (departed at the night of July 14th and coming back on 16th). Transportation was arranged to pick up participants from Johor Bahru, Kuala Lumpur and Penang. In total 184 participants joined the workshop.Sony Malaysia loaned out their gears to the participants. Highlight was their speed master: the a9. Many saw how the a9 can handle the need of speed.

Since this round the theme has become about culture. All famous events in Kelantan, including gasing (the world’s biggest spinning top), batik making, wau (the biggest kite in the world) making, monkey plugging coconut, silat (Malaysian martial arts), mayong (Malaysian dance), were listed in the programme.

During the dinner, Sony Malaysia invited 3 speakers; Ruzely (SWPA2015 winner), Rosli (A7sm2 KOL) and Eddie Putera (a7Rm2 KOL) to share their Alpha experiences.

On the second day, the program was in a significant wet market of Kota Bahru; the Central Market. Participants not just filled their memory card with the local lifestyle, but some of them got chance to buy some local products as souvenirs for their families.

The event ended successfully. You see the participants post images or share their experiences on their social media accounts, reflecting how much they enjoyed this workshop.
